Tidal canals cut through Leeward, lined with waterfront homes.

  4. Mangrove Cay

A small uninhabited red-mangrove island close to Leeward, inside the Princess Alexandra Nature Reserve.

  5. Donna Cay

An uninhabited, low island of about 94 acres northeast of Providenciales, in the Princess Alexandra Nature Reserve, with thatch palm forest, red mangroves on its western and northern coasts and rock iguanas in its low bluffs.

  6. Noah's Ark

A floating bar and grill moored between the Half Moon Bay lagoon and Bird Cay, inside Princess Alexandra National Park.

  7. Bird Cay

A one-acre island of limestone ironshore on the eastern side of the Princess Alexandra National Park, mostly covered in salt-resistant coastal plants, with some mangroves on its west side.

  8. Half Moon Bay

A sandbar lagoon between Little Water Cay and Water Cay, reachable only by boat.

  9. Little Water Cay

Iguana Island: a nature reserve just off Leeward where the rock iguanas walk up to the boardwalk.

  10. Sand Dollar Cove

A sheltered cove near Pine Cay and Fort George Cay, a popular boat stop from Providenciales, with calm water, a white-sand beach and more depth than most spots in the cays for the larger charter boats.

  11. Pine Cay

A privately owned island of about 800 acres with a small resort and some forty homes, the site of the first tourist development in the islands.

  12. Fort George Cay

A small uninhabited cay between Pine Cay and Dellis Cay, inside a land and sea national park.

  13. Dellis Cay

A private island of 560 acres between Parrot Cay and Pine Cay, named for the Dellis family who lived there farming sponges in the 1950s, and known for the shells along its shore.

  14. Parrot Cay

A private island of about 1,000 acres between Providenciales and North Caicos, with a mile-long beach and one resort.
